Founded 40+ years ago in a Hyde Park backyard by music teacher Marietta Phinney, Riverside Theatre Works began to give local kids access to the arts; guided by her “see the invisible, do the impossible” motto, RTW now anchors the community with quality productions, musical theater training, and outreach—its alumni performing on Broadway, national tours, and across Boston, with many returning to teach and inspire the next generation.
